Band Director Sign Up for 2014 YIM Championships

Dear Band Directors,
Our application registration process will use Google docs and there is a hyperlink at the bottom of this email for you to register your band.  Your completed registration for performance order will be based on the date your payment is received.
Youth In Music is blessed to have such loyal bands participating in our events.  Thank you for your continued support.  With the Dome being torn down and replaced by a new Vikings Stadium, we will be outside the next two years.  In preparation, we had been looking at venues for the past 18 months.  The 2014 home for Youth In Music Championships will be Chanhassen High School on Saturday October 11, 2014.
For our previously participating bands, we are offering a lower application fee for the next two years with a loyalty discount being offered for you in 2016 for performing in both 2014 and 2015.  Loyalty discount in 2016 will be $100 off if you attend 1 year and $300 off if you attend both years.  It is our intention to run 2016 in the new Vikings Stadium and we are currently penciled in for October 8, 2016. Another benefit to our previous participants is that you are also receiving this email 1 week before we send out to our entire emailing list to give you a jump start on completing the registration process.
Our schedule in 2014 will include Class A, AA, and AAA Championships in parallel with Minnesota State Championships in Class A, AA, and AAA,  similar to our afternoon sessions, previously in the Metrodome.  After getting feedback from band directors, we will NOT hold the evening Regional Championships until after we are back inside.
As in the past, we will hold your performance spot by the reverse order of when we receive your application sheet AND payment. We are offering payment by check, paypal and PO (to be paid by July 15, 2014), to make this more convenient to bands that may not receive their festival funds until after July 1.   All Champions from 2013 will perform last in their class for 2014.

Ticket information will be coming out asap.  The registration fee of $250 will cover your application fee, judges fees and trophies. We are not including any extra tickets for the event.  You will still be allowed 20 chaperones to assist you with set up on the day of the event.

Application Form is included below as a Google doc hyperlink, so you can register your intent immediately.
